Screw the guitar. If you can get your 4 year old 15 minutes of fame via reality tv, they'll be able to get paid just to make appearances at parties without actually working.

The flaming lips, arcade fire and muse are a steal compared to all of that top line dreck. I wonder how many of these private parties some of these musicians get to do a year. I am going to have to get my 4 year old a guitar this weekend.

Nah. I moved to the city, so no need for a car. The city did a fine job of beating me into debt without anything cool to show for it. Rent is a bitch. Also, my cats both had health problems at different points that cost me serious money.

I probably had savings at 17 also. It was the next 10+ years where I totally destroyed it and racked up a black hole of debt.

Tbf my Mum and Dad set it up and put a bunch of money in it. It's pretty much what I use when I wanna buy something like a Laptop, or new phone.

These numbers are a bit questionable. This may only apply to certain types of events, such as private parties, festivals, or college gigs. Because most indie rock bands like Black Angels won't be making anywhere near $5K every gig.
