If you want to venture a little bit outside of funk, I recommend you listen to Zombie by Fela Kuti. The bass lines are very funky but its mixed in with elements of jazz and African music as well. I owe thanks to someone on this site for recommending it to me years ago.

Everything previously mentioned is great. You can't go wrong with pretty much any 70s Funkadelic or Parliament.

I'm quite ignorant/ lacking in knowledge about Funk to be honest.

I liked the Funk radio station on GTA V i guess 🤣

And I enjoy the likes of Chic, Metro Area, Escort, Janelle Monae etc 🤔

Thanks for the recs guys.

Funnily enough, Funkadelic's eponymous debut is in my Wish-List and I'll hopefully purchase it next time I feel I need a treat 😉

Will be sure to try out as many recs as possible, some of them have really cool artwork I must say 😄

I may as well post up the only album I know to be somewhat funk (well I've heard it described as such, although it doesn't sound too funky to me... but I digress!)
