Always sad news to hear about these kinds of losses. It's almost the same with Big Star. Of the original lineup of 4 guys, only Jody Stephens, the drummer is left. The rest have all passed away much too young.

Yeah, it was sad news for sure. Without Tommy it's highly unlikely The Ramones would have existed. Even after he quit the band, he was the glue that held them together. He also wrote Blitzkrieg Bop. His importance to music history can not be overstated.

Wait crap I thought he was already dead, I didn't realize that he just died, I thought that you'd only just realized ... oh that's unfortunate, great band and as others have said, they all went far too young

Wow. I'm very saddened by the news. The Ramones have been a huge inspiration for me in more ways than just music. Really amazing group, and tommy was just a super cool dude and drummer. RIP, Tommy.

Yeah, I can't think of any band of such importance where I actually was alive and aware and into music when each member passed. Each time I got the news it was a blow.

RIP Tommy Ramone. A sad day for music, he was the last living founding member of Ramones. And he was probably the most famous rock musician who was born in my city, and I'm proud of this.

Sad news. What a shame that they've all gone so young. Joey was only 49, Johnny was 55 and Dee Dee only 50. Too young to die. Without doubt the best band in heaven. RIP Tommy! 🙁

Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. Not a group per se but they have recorded as a duo.

Just heard the sad news about Tommy Ramone - RIP. If there's a CBGB's in the next world there's gonna be one heck of a reunion show tonight...

Has also got me wondering - I can't think of another band of any great significance since the 1960s where all the original members have passed on. Anyone else think of any?
