Seeing him in the film named Hook was my introduction to Robin. I loved watching him play Peter Pan all grown up.

Has anyone read the article a Cracked writer wrote because of this? It was quite moving and got a huge response from the readers. It was very understanding and didn't try to drag down the story down in anyway. It touched on why it was done without thinking they knew better than Robin. If people haven't read it, here is link:

The whole idea of depression scares me completely. After reading this the world seemed a little more bleak. Lots of people have depression, I hear lots of people say they do anyway. It seems like the whole western world is in some epidemic. People become very sad so much so they can't control it. It doesn't matter if they have family friends and lots of money. I can't understand this world. Sometimes it is scary

My first encounter with Robin Williams was seeing him on Happy Days and then on HBO doing his stand up routine. He was hilarious.

It's interesting to look back on Robin Williams career and see just how much range he had as an actor.

among all of the other films mentioned, he was rather memorable in Popeye and The Fisher King.

Tragic news. Two of his movies had great impact on my early childhood, one of them the is Death Poets Society, and the other is Mrs. Doubtfire, the first movie I have seen in a cinema. He made other numerous great movies in which he played his roles wonderfully. He will be greatly missed.

I think saw pretty much every movie he made in the 90s, in the theater when they came out, I even remember my mom taking me to see Good Will Hunting completely unaware that "Fuck" would be said every five seconds (good times). Although most of those films seem tacky today, it's a pretty big chunk of my childhood experience. Although I think he was actually at his best (and also worst) in the 00s, with One Hour Photo (creepy Williams) and World's Greatest Dad (weary sad-sack Williams) probably his finest screen performances.

He had a lot of good film work between Good Morning, Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, Awakenings, Hook, Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, Good Will Hunting, Patch Adams, Insomnia, One Hour Photo, and What Dreams May Come, the last of which might be my favorite role of his.
