These are both 5 star masterpieces, and I love them both in dramatically different ways. I'll be doing a coin toss later. 😁

I'm just going to get used to the fact that most of these matches are pretty much going to suck balls from herein out. So many kickass albums. For instance, I can't believe Red's gone, but I adore Meet The Residents almost as much.

Will probably go with Eno since he's my God and TTM is an Art Pop marvel, but I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight is such a diverse, beautiful album.

Eno is great and this is no exception, but there are very few albums I'd put above I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight, and that's with regards to all time, not just 1974.

I can't say enough good things about Taking Tiger Mountain. It may be my second favorite Eno album of 1974, but the first is way up on my overall chart. He's got a band here that includes Phil Manzanera and Robert Wyatt. Surprisingly no Fripp.
