Have three albums from this year alone in my top ten, and one of 'em is my very favourite album, so you could say I think 2012 was a wonderful year.

One album kinda towers over all others for me when it comes to 2012. The album has 11 tracks and here is the incredible array of lyrical themes explored on each of them :

1. - Emotional unavailability / coldness
2. - Escapism / drug hallucinations (?)
3. - Society / community
4. - Family tensions
5. - Conformism / pressures to conform
6. - A deceased acquaintance
7. - Irresponsibility
8. - Infatuation
9. - Revenge
10. - Self-destruction
11. - Narrow-mindedness or something

Musically you've got a wildhearted frontman backed up by a very steady but also really talented backing band. For instance, the band's guitarist has created some amazing soundscapes to accompany and complement all of the lyrical themes above. The album might appeal to fans of Depeche Mode, Interpol, The National and everything in between.
