I'm in love with this album, and Angel Olsen as a result. #2 for me. Just... so emotionally raw without being overbearing or overly indulgent. So perfect on so many levels.

Ive given this a couple listens and it seems like something that I would like a lot... but I just can't get into it at all. I seem to get more bored and turned off with each listen, even with all the activity during each song. Maybe Im just missing something, but I donno if finding that missing link is going to make the album any more enjoyable.

Haven't listened to this one since it came out, but I really liked it from what I remember. Ought to revisit sometime soon. I've never quite had the same love for Angel Olsen that a lot of other people have, but I definitely dig her stuff.

It's not been bad stuff, to clarify. Stuff I usually went back and listened to once more and just was never wowed by, not stuff that was actually bad (and there was a lot of that last year too). It's just been stuff that hasn't wowed me thus far. Not bad, just mediocre. I'll have to check out the stuff I missed though.

Hard not to feel the same. I'm holding out hope that the albums I picked haven't been unveiled yet. My heart will drop if Meshes of Voice isn't in the top four. That said, I'm expecting to see Lost In A Dream, Benji, and bunch of other mediocre stuff filling the last spots.

The first half is fun, but the second half is just transcendent. "Dance Slow Decades" and "Stars" always have their swirly way with me.

"unfucktheworld" is currently my jam. "forgiven/forgotten" is a close second. I tend to agree with the assessments that this album is a tad inconsistent, a tad monotonous at times and a bit front-loaded. But, whatever. This album still rules and "unfucktheworld" may be my favorite song of 2014 and "forgiven/forgotten" is one of my favorite retro 90s Indie rockers that I've heard in a while. "She's an indie rocker & nothing's gonna stop her. "

I love where this album placed.

This list got shitty quickly. I remember this being monotonous and annoyingly generic. I should listen again to see if my opinion will change.
