Decided to go with what I love the most rather than the one thing I disliked and voted narrowly for 2000, but both teams are amazing and I expect to get ass-whooped in due time

Both teams are insane, honestly I hope both of these make it past the group stages. In the end I voted 2000, but it was damn close.

Went 2010 in the end. Public Strain just skews things so much in favor of 2010, I can't vote against it. Plus I'm not too enthusiastic about most of those 2000 singles.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of either team. Newsom and Flying Lotus have never appealed to me. That Women album sounds cool but doesn't go anywhere, and the same can be said for a lot of the singles. I will say that I thought I was going to hate that Books album, but ended up really liking it. That Knife song is pretty great too.

2000 also has a bunch of stuff that's kind of enjoyable but doesn't go anywhere - I never need to hear that Yo La Tengo album again although it had some fun parts. My feelings toward D'Angelo and Electric Wizard are more "respect" than "enjoyment." Flood started off great and ended up being good for three quarters, but the last song just lost me. The singles though, are all enjoyable (Blink 182 only for nostalgia's sake thought).

It's super close but gotta go with 2000 for variety's sake. The Books album is probably my favorite among them but Flood and Dopethrone are the only others I can see myself returning to.

The 2010 team has everything I love. And the "Colouring of Pigeons" is simply amazing !

The 2000 team has great albums (and a cool Wu Tang single) but they all need the right mood to be fully appreciated (I mean stoner, drone, deep house woah!)

I agree with the awesome job on both sides �'� , but will be voting 2010.

It might just be too tough. Both teams are incredible, from top to bottom. All those 2000's albums are just beastly, the excellent combination of the brutal Dopethrone and translucent And Then Nothing... mixed with the superb slow-burners Voodoo and Parallel Dimensions and then just knocking everything sideways with Boris is as amazing and strange a combination of albums as I can possibly think of. And not only using Overload and tail-ending it with What Up Fatlip is the sweetest cherry on top imaginable.

... but 2010 was no slouch either. While Have One on Me has always been a bit of lesser Newsom (or extremely gluttonous Newsom) personally, the rest of the album selections are terrific (if maybe not quite on par with 2000's) and the singles work together beautifully.

Really the only thing I don't really, really like on either team is "I Try", a song I hoped I never would've had to acknowledge it's existience ever again. I also really don't want to be that douche who votes based on their dislike of one thing, but it is incredibly difficult to find a clear winner here, both teams are just divine. If I had to say, Im leaning 2000 for the albums and 2010 for the singles overall (despite Overload), might just have to do some re-listening to jump off this fence and actually pick one. Absolutely amazing job, 🥰 both of you

Haha! I was just about to vote for 2000 after scraping myself off the floor after listening to Boris' Flood. Fuck me -what an album. Heartbreakingly gorgeous yet gravitationally massive.

Neither of these teams are extremely strong, but I do think the 2000 team has the better singles (Blink 182, Fatlip, Wu Tang) by quite a bit of a margin. I was jamming to "What's up fatlip" the other day (after watching a stand up comedy video where fatlip was invited on stage). 2000 it is by not much.
