Also about bitterness about past matches in which this happened and nobody got free points, one of the occasions was by Rocky, but he lost anyways so there's no harm done-ish; and the other one was by Applerill but I (as the affected party) decided to not "press charges" since that match is already clearly decided. Any instances of bad teams from now on will be offered a rematch, and it's up to them whether they take it or not. If they agree (like here) to forfeit, then that's their choice too. Anyways, we seem to be having trouble on about one match per week, so we still have 3 great matches every week! Natural selection says after the group stage is over we won't see too many problematic rounds.

Yeah, I mean obviously Im partisan here, because this match just doesn't affect them but everyone else in the group as well, and maybe there is a sign of personal bitterness here that someone gets a free win (in what otherwise would've been a sure loss) over an honest mistake while I don't get that luxury. You know, first world problems. But if Norman wanted to forfeit and refuse to rematch or a substituted album, then that's just how it lays I guess. Overall I hope it's just a good lesson for captains to double-check before submitting their team and making sure everything is completely valid for your year, I know that puts a lot of burden on the game-runners to verify everything is eligible- although I do think there needs to be some sort of system put in place so we avoid an invalid team being presented in the future. If a lot of these group winners are decided by technical errors and forfeits, it's not going to be a whole lot of fun and only begets more headaches and controversy in the future.

Yeah, I mean if this was like he'd used Nonsvch instead it still wouldn't've made a large difference, I'd imagine. But definitely all gotta be careful checking what our teams are, I've made worse mistakes similar to this from not double checking my stuff (that "Best of the Bay Area Chart" where I clicked "Their Satanic Majesties Request" by the Rolling Stones instead of "Their Satanic Majesties' Second Request" by Brian Jonestown Massacre ... that made a way bigger difference).

This. Not sure about anyone else who voted for Norm, but as a major XTC fan, replacing English Settlement with Black Sea just strengthens my decision to vote 1980. (and I can't believe I missed this mistake)

In fact I'm sure if you bought Norm some half-decent bottle of plonk he'd gladly step out of the competition altogether and retire to the realms of plug, with his transgressions and numeral dyslexia completely forgotten for all of eternity (until Applerill tries to sneak a Tori Amos album into his 1971 team).

Yeah I think this makes the most sense unless Norman really doesn't want the win. It's not THAT serious, he mixed up albums by the same band and only once, he's yet to do it repeatedly, it's not like he's got a whole team of 1984-ers in 80 or something, and Black Sea is the superior album.

Regardless of what you decide to do, you should probably edit the OP so anyone new who votes in this thread before reading it can see the correct album.
