My top most listened is Spirit of Eden.

I wasn't too big on Laughing Stock, so I won't be making it a priority.

Absofuckinlutely! It's awesome! One of the greatest indie rock albums ever. Also it's just a at times heartwarming and at times maniacal look inside the mind of the maker of the album, a wild genius named Robert Pollard.

And Pa, yeah I think you'll really like Spiderland. It's a dark, super super intense listen. The guitars will probably make you very happy.

Not a priority unless you are aiming to hear the entire top 1000 overall. If you have heard a few albums by Guided By Voices in the past and didn't like them at all, it would be wise not bothering and better to spend your time elsewhere.

I added Faust to my wish list too and I'm not familiar with Slint actually.
I'm gonna try these albums soon!
btw I'm so happy to see The Doors on this list.

Ha! Well, I highly recommend it, obviously. It's in my top 10.

I listened to Faust and it was fabulous! And Faust IV was also amazing. I can thank this lost for helping me finally get around to listening to those crazy gems.

Man this list has been making me reevaluate and relisten to some albums. I just looked and the highest ranked on here that I have not heard like even once is...#94 Faust. Tell me how stupid I am, people.

I'm strangely curious to see what it is for y'all.

This is probably one of the best community lists on the internet. Really. It doesn't pander. It doesn't try to be important. It's just a bunch of favorites. I love it.

It's definitely going to be a tough one to call. Outside the exclusions there is no absolute BEA favourite (though quite a few releases from bands that are loved here).

Belle and Sebastien is a crazy choice for #1 but it's so bea so I like it. Well I like how unpredictable the whole thing is, it would just be a waste if we made the overall again so

The Smiths self titled ahead of TQID, and really high too, was especially nice

Quite a few artists were submitted either with or without the the before so there were duplicates. Will correct for 69 Love Songs which will put it into the top 100
