So because Loveless and myself clearly haven't found the large amount of time required to do the BEAMAs all at once and since we're so far into 2015 now that they're not quite as exciting; we'll be doing it a little differently this year so that it can actually be done. We'll be doing 2 categories a day - and if this works out maybe we'll do it for future BEAMAs as well. There's about 30 categories and 10 writeups so it should take about 20 days if everything goes to plan.

We'll start out later tonight!

Yeah we started the votes a bit late which was a mistake, then we had to extend the voting because we really weren't getting enough polls to get most categories done, then we decided to do it like last year with write-ups but not everybody sent them in, then we both got busy, then I spent most of May travelling so... Yeah. It seems silly to do a whole presentation in the middle of the year, but I think it's eventually gonna happen, if nothing else just because to be fair to those who worked on their write-ups. I'll check with Jherry to see when and where exactly.

True. But these dolls are total perfectionistas, so it's impossible to put on a big awards show without some glitz & pagentry, but maybe just a list of winners (as well as the write-ups for each album- we worked a long fucking time on those) will suffice this year.

I think they intentionally pushed it back a bit this year because they weren't getting a lot of initial votes and were a little worried about waning interest. Though now 2015 is well under way and real-life concerns have gotten in the way for both of them. Ill see if I can coax a no-thrills presentation out of them, or perhaps it will just be merged (earlier) with next year's BEAMA's.

Just an idea, but maybe you guys should do this in December of the succeeding year so people have plenty of time to catch up and have records sink in rather than the following winter/spring.

Also, please tell me I didn't vote for something that took me a long time to put together for it to not even be posted/finalized.

sooo I just did this but idk if you should just delete my Best Songs and Best Albums lists. Ive only listened to like half of those albums so I feel like I shouldn't be allowed to put that together.
