Sad.

But what bugs me is not the presence of VU& Nico, but those Arcade Fires and Nirvanas in the top 10.
Still, the sadness felt at the absence of the white album is sort of made up for by the ludicrousness of the number one spot. And two Radioheads at the xpense of Pet Sounds or Highway 61...

Any way, the white album remains my all-time favorite, and life goes on, bro, lala how the life goes on.

I can't stand that Velvet Underground bullshit, but that's just my own taste. I guess it would be boring if everybody liked the same stuff.

Another interesting way to look at albums is by the average track rating. By that standard, Wish You Were Here is over a 90, with nothing else being within a point of that. Some albums with high track ratings:

WYWH: 90.4

OKC: 88.5
DSOTM: 88.7
IR: 88.8
ITAOTS: 88.4
ITCOTCK: 88.4

There's movement, and that's good. Here's hoping TPAB ends up up there just to cause some heart attacks around here.

Of the top 11, I really don't care. I don't even usually sort by that, I customize it to be charts with at least 75% positive by users level 5 and up with at least 20 entries, which then looks like this:

1 OK Computer (still WAY overrated)
2 Dark Side of the Moon
3 Abbey Road
4 Velvet Underground
5 Revolver
6 Funeral (still fairly overrated but w/e)
7 Sgt Pepper's
8 London Calling
9 Led Zeppelin IV
10 Doolittle
11 Nevermind

The only other way I usually look at the overall is just by rating, which then becomes:

1 Dark Side of The Moon
2 Abbey Road
3 OK Computer
4 Revolver
5 Sgt Pepper's
6 Wish You Were Here
7 TPAB
8 Zeppelin IV
9 Funeral
10 Highway 61 Revisited
11 White Album

I think this is great. VU&N is rapidtly approaching Funeral too.

Also, Kid A was above Nevermind last week for a few days. I predict by next year both Kid A and LZ IV will be above Nevermind.

Wish You Were Here has just jumped Pet Sounds within the past few days (13th and 14th).

Highway 61, Doolittle, and Ziggy keep switching spots for 18,19, and 20 as well.

Last month, Who's next briefly topped the Wall, but now the Wall is ahead by over 1,500 points.

Is This It is fast approaching The Doors for 25th.

All in all, our top 25 is seeing a lot of changes right now.

edit: So. I just took a look for I guess the very first time. Biggest shocker was seeing Nevermind sitting smack dab in the middle of the top ten. Really interesting. Everything else wasn't too surprising. Glad to see IV getting so much love. I thought their was a backlash against Zep so I guess that was pretty surprising too.
