I missed the eggman days, and the facetious persona has been much less active, so I don't have much to say on that front. He certainly left an impression in those early days, though.

Anyway, Cellar is a legend, so him.

Ive definitely ribbed Eggman more than I should have along the years, but he has grown up and matured alongside his time on BEA, and is now a nicely thoughtful, congenial and not-constantly-spamming prescence here on the forums.

CellarDoor's influence on BEA is incalcuable, and to top it off he's just a really friendly guy who loves sharing all the weird, awesome, lovely music he has with everybody. A deserving BEA legend.

No, you should look up the word "clique". Make sure you understand that concept. Then after you've got that understood, think on the possibility of tha word being applied to BEA - especially from the perspective of a new member. Then I think you'll recognize that I was using the word correctly, you fellow defensive lil booger you! 😁

BEA has never had anything which could be called a clique Mercury. 😕 It's been the same for several years regarding users, only the names change.

I remember cellardoor being the first major user (meaning someone who is well known and respected to a high degree by many) who looked at my chart and gave a really supportive comment. Before that this community was kind of intimidating insofar as I knew there was a clique and I knew that these dudes knew their stuff (for the most part). Anyway, I loved it. Then I upgraded to 50 and 100 on my charts, got more active on the forums and the rest is history.

I like facetious too, but I refuse to live down the fact that he cost me the 1st round win over Purple in the first BEUT. If he'd pushed the right button on the damn pull I may have pulled off the biggest upset imaginable. Can you imagine lil mercurydylan89 besting purple in early '13? Impossible! its a damn shame.

So I vote Cellardoor, both out of high respect to him and spite to facetious. 😉

It's a shame that Cellar got a serious job and isn't around that much because he's long been one of my favorite members and a favorite source for recs.

I've had more interactions with Facetious, and he's grown on me over my time here, he's awesome, but I think Cellar is more influential on me (and anybody else who comes across his charts) when it comes to my taste in music, whether I knew it at the time or not.
