Yeah Im not going to jump in the debate about single recycling, especially with the eligibility issue here, but just wanna give out another reminder for everybody to double-check their single's eligibility before submitting their teams, it makes Defago and Space Tiger's job a lot easier and we don't have to move/retract songs when people have already started voting. Also we do have qualifying-single rules for a reason (em-HMMM), if anybody needs a refresher go back to the original page of the stickied BYT-2.0 thread- or since that may not be up to date just PM Defago, Space Tiger or myself if you have any questions about eligibility or whatever quandry you have.

And I guess on the actual teams I really like that 67 team, esp Are You Experienced, Safe as Milk and Strange Days (which I actually far prefer to their self-titled, mainly for being the weirdo, gothic misfit yin to it's yang), I love parts of Songs for Leonard Cohen but don't think it's great as a whole, same goes with Magical Mystery Tour. Singles are (mostly) strong but not terribly inspired.

And I like that 07 team-- from what Ive heard, which is about 40 percent of it :mrgreen:. Untrue and Refinement are quite excellent though. Will try to fit those unheard albums into the queue before making a decision.

Even without Bros and Paper Planes (unfortunately the two strongest singles), the 2007 team is gorgeous and I'd vote for it over 1967 still

wow that 2007 team is one of the strongest ive seen in this tourney in terms of albums. and taking Bros out actually makes it better so

67 is basically safe as milk + whatever imo

For me, those singles should be removed. Wouldn't change my vote, but it is against the rules and does set a bad precedent.

If I followed these rules, I'd also be allowed to use Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah and The Jesus & Mary Chain's Just Like Honey. Which I'm sure people will find far more ridiculous than Paper Planes and Bros 🤣

I'm going to stick by my decision to use those two singles. I don't think it's too otherworldly. If you really want to though, just negate them from my team when voting. Nick only has 4 singles anyway.
