Okay I should explain, yes how I personally saw that particular chart, I was taken aback abit and found it a bit vindictive (mainly cause at least it seemed like it was targeted towards specific people) and yes a little "un-nerving" cause I really wasn't sure where it was coming from. Moreso it was likely just a bit of a disconnect, communication-wise. I do honestly apologize, though, as I really shouldn't have used this forum and match in particular as a way to somehow insinuate that you're creepy, I don't think that, just one thing I personally found a bit dis-tasteful- though it's a view not everybody shares. But Im sorry, Im not trying to pass judgement based on one blip that obviously wasn't viewed the same way. You're a great guy, I mean that.

I suppose that is a subjective thing. I'm not sure why me making a chart (as what the people call a "joke" or "humor") where I chronicled everyone who's broken my heart with an associated soundtrack/album would be "creepy" or would "cause fear or unease". I suppose you maybe don't react well to jokes involving people talking about being dumped, or left, or people being miserable, or maybe it was the title and the use of the word "bitch". Idk. Again, whatever it's a very subjective response and a very personally experienced word. I just think you need to chill the eff out, fo realsss. Jk. But seriously.

But, thanks for the kinda kind words you typed which was couched in the general "Mercury is kind of a creeper" stuff.

Yeah Ive really liked Secretdad so far, kind of slipped in under the radar but lots of thoughtful, interesting posts and fascinating, rec-heavy charts, great new addition overall.

And yeah Mercury's def a staple here, can never fault the enthuasim and general chipperness, all in all quite a sunny, positive prescence on BEA, despite some geniunely un-nerving moments (seriously, whether that This One's For You Bitch chart was meant to be taken in all earnestness or as a joke, it was nothing but creepy). Still very nice guy all-around.

My respect and regard for Secret are high but, I'm voting for my deep blues friend Mercury that introduced me to many and interesting albums and because he has always been so kind to me during my bea experience 😄

It's a tough match as everyone has stated but I gotta go for Mercury. Not only for #Madvillainsnostalgia but because he has consistently had the best avatars on BEA since his day 1 and he just Spices up BEA's life.

Secretdad is pretty cool, admittedly haven't had much interaction with him, but I have been subtly stealing recs off his charts, which is always a plus.

On the other hand, Mercury epitomises what I love about BEA, such a friendly, passionate guy and his charts are also full of great recs, plus his fondness for the Spice Girls always makes me smile (They do have some great shit), so gotta go Mercury here, though Secretdad would get my vote against a ton of other users.

Ugh, I adore both of these users. I could get recs from either of their charts, depending on my mood, and both have a great forum presence. I went with Mercury, cause I've known him longer, but that's not a knock on secretdad at all.

Mercury. Just tons of personality and spark and one of the most important users for making BEA the awesome, friendly, enthusiastic and WARM place it is.

SecretDad's awesome and some day when my brain's feeling more ambitious (c'mon brain, u can do it!) I'll be sure to gobble down his neuron heavy recs, but for now I like the laidback grooves that Mercury is always championing with that inimitable Mercury style. I just know that when Merc digs sth it's well worth checking out.

Don't forget Mercury's blues chart & GE thread either - easily one of my favorite sources for perfect recs. BEA's dean of the blues for sure.

Nothing but great things to be said about both users. Mercury did a hell of a job with the Delta Blues Thread. But his avatar still makes me take him less seriously.

Secretdad has been a blossoming new presence here, so he's getting my vote due to his fresh new energy.

Voted secretdad, thinking he'd be the underdog in a Mercury landslide, only to find it's really close. Nothing against Mercury at all, he's been here ages and become part of the furniture, with enthusiasm and goodwill to burn, but secretdad has been a rec machine since he arrived, with some really cool (if too infrequent) posts on movies and other shit too. Really laid back guy who offers the types of recs that not many other users do. 9.2 Best New User.

Yeah, secretdad is one of the best newish users! I remember him taking over in the Chart Talk Threads with Spaceyiger. An his chart is hella unique, although I must admit I've heard maybe AT MOST 15% of it. Some cool stuff nonetheless.

And while he clearly has listened to a lot more music than me (at least in certain areas that I'm a ridiculous noob in) he remains super down to earth and willing to share musical recs and good conversations. He just seems like a cool person, from all I've seen of him.

He's sort of like Vision to Satie's Ultron.
