Otherwise confrontational, noise-rock group Iran releases their most decidedly accessible release to date. Critics (see pfork's and cokemachineglow's respective reviews) are generally underwhelmed. I love it for what it is: a straightforward rock record that carries most of the spooky, dark feel of their highly regarded previous work.

Since we have the chat about the popular albums that we ourselves have no interest in checking out, what albums do y'all love that did not get the recognition you thought that they deserved?

Besides the three albums from my most favorite singer James Otto, I was sad to see the Brooks & Dunn album named Tight Rope and released in 1999 be where the duo took their nose dive because in my opinion, it is loaded with good stuff. 😄 😄 😄
