I can't help but scream from the rooftops every chance I get how much this site has helped me, musically. It's practically changed my life. Before discovering BEA a couple years ago I knew a whole lot of classic rock, some great soul from the Motown era, all the best heavy metal bands, Bob Marley, a few good classic country singers, and I liked only a handful of hip hop and jazz albums at best.

The majority of my top 100 contains stuff I saw on here first. But when I look through my collection there are certain ones that I take pride in knowing that if it wasn't for this amazing site, I may have never gave these albums a listen. Some of them have helped me through depression, some have changed my perspective on life, some are just great fun to listen to. Off the top of my head, here's a few...

Not a whole lot, really. I have listened to a lot of stuff based on BEA charts and recs, but the list of albums that I actually bothered to add to my collection is quite small. A few:

Nils 🥰 (haven't discovered him via BEA though)
My major discoveries through BEA have been Nick Drake, Fugazi and Bardo Pond. These had really a great impact on my taste, but there have been many others, ofc. Thanks BEA!

Based on what's on my chart: I discovered Talk Talk and Mark Hollis, Women, Talking Heads, and the virtues of Ennio Morricone through theharrisonfords. I got Dirty Three, The Disintegration Loops, Red House Painters, Low, and Roy Montgomery from CellarDoor. Fela Kuti from joannajewsom. And then I'm positive The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady, Spiderland, Dopesmoker, and Thursday Afternoon came somewhere from here. Consistently get inspiration from Skinny, mecca, and Norman, but 2009/2010 and then 2013 were really the periods of my biggest growth on here.

As a side note, Exuma was first seen on theharrisonfords chart, and then picked up from there by joannajewsom, and then it's popularity spread like wildfire.
