27 of the top 50
54 of the top 100

high priority on my must-listen list: the (pre-Black Star) David Bowie albums and the Smiths albums, Pink Moon, The Rolling Stones albums, Spirit of Eden, and F#A$#inf. maybe the wilco and television albums.

this was from the "Top-Rated" list instead of the Overall Chart, though. heard more from the Overall Chart than the "Top-Rated" list.

It would seem, by look at your chart compared to mine, that our biggest taste disagreement is the 80s. I rather unapologetically think that the general production styles of the decade were a wash. You'll be heart broken to know that I also don't see the appeal of Joy Division/New Order or the Smiths. Here's to future listens to see if I stick to that.

I've heard 217 of the top 250... got bored with counting even though all I did was subtract what I haven't rated yet. After 250 though I feel it becomes less interesting for me to be a must listen of every single one.... I might go to 500 when I care enough.

On another note in the last month I've listened to almost 300 albums from the 1950s and 1960s.

Why would you expect it otherwise ? They were/are popular mainstream rock acts, especially the latter two.

there are probably a few dozen more that i like but don't love enough for my active library, but the vast majority of the Top 1000 that i've heard is stuff i'm not super impressed by. glancing through, none of the ~200 i haven't heard peak any interest, and they're usually the expanded discographies of acts i've heard one album from and disliked strongly like Kings of Leon, Dire Straits, etc.

I remember looking into that like a year back. Certainly I'm somewhere in the range of 850-900 listened and 450-500 owned by now.

I've listened to 246 and I think I own around 80 or 85. I'm making it my goal to listen to every album in the top 1,000 by the time I go to college.
