I want to thank WBBQ out of Augusta, GA, for playing "Summertime" non-stop during the summer of '91. I spent all summer building dirt jumps for my bike out behind the apartment complex. I got hassled by the cops after I found a slingshot in the woods behind the Mormon church. I even had my first kiss that summer, with a girl who called herself "Rebecca" even though her name was Rosemary.

Great summer. Great song.

Good Vibrations should've made it to the final, now I regret not voting in the last few matches.

Anyway, voted for Endless Summer, though I had absolutely zero expectations for it getting this far. Meanwhile, Bottle Rocket got kicked out way too early. Oh well.

Great job with the tournament Revolver, but I have to be honest, I think we ended up with a bit of a dud of a final 😕 Both of these songs are fantastic, and I'll be voting for Summertime, but I don't think either deserves to win. Slightly bummed out that Move On Up and California Love weren't in the top 4 too 🙁

But ah well, all in good fun 😄

Also, for those who don't know, there's a downloadable playlist of all the songs in the tournament in the sticky thread. 😄

Endless Summer is pretty cool but I have no idea how it got this far. Summertime on the other hand is the very essence of, well, summertime
