I second, third and fourth Forever Changes- Love
Fifth Dimension- The Byrds(May not be fully psych)
Waiting For The Sun- The Doors
Currents- Tame Impala
A Saucerful Of Secrets- Pink Floyd
Pet Sounds- The Beach Boys(perfect psych pop along with The Zombies)

Didn't say much beyond classics but they are essential.

Some excellent recs from LittleM1971 & Antonio-Pedro (esp. Quilt, Deerhunter, Papercuts & Piper At The Gates of Dawn). This maybe a bit of a curveball (that could be an understatement) but here's one you might want to check out, 'cause it does have psychedelic instrumentation among the noise:

Some modern "psychedelic" albums I like are:

Lonerism-Tame Impala
Congratulations- MGMT

Also STRFKR and Pond are good current bands.

Most so-called "psychedelic rock" classics aren't what I'd describe as psychedelic. Only based on my own experiences, of course. They were probably pretty psychedelic to somebody at some point. Mysterious Traveller by the Weather Report and Synthesist by Harald Grosskopf are always good for a long trip, though.

Gonna check out those I don't know, psychedelic rock is one of those genres I really enjoy but haven't explored nearly enough.

Check out The Zombies, they are psychedelic pop at it's finest. Also Tame Impala and Pond for some neo-psychedelia
