Always been one of the bands that I really liked when I was younger than released later, "Wow this does suck".

(What's the Story) Morning Glory? is the only enjoyable piece of music that I can kind of listen to now.

The first three are all significant musical and cultural artifacts of their time. An upswing near the end. Stop the Clocks was an odd comp btw.

Yeah well...there was a bunch of unnecessary shit-flinging and a few personal attacks that were out of line. Not a good way to greet a new member. On the other hand people stood up and reacted to that and there were another bunch of comments that answered the question and actually tried to make some meaningful discussion about it all.

If the comeback response to that is a Fuck you all, I must admit I have to say goodbye and good riddance.

Believe it or not, there are quite a few pro-Oasis people here (or else they wouldn't be ranked so high). Oasis just seem to be one of those bands that divide opinion.

They aren't that bad, but they only made 2 albums worth listening to, and I prefer just listening to the singles they made.

What's The Story - 90/100
DM - 65/100, albeit 'Live Forever' is probably their best song.

I have only listened to and rated two Oasis albums:

(What's the Story) Morning Glory - 3.58/5 - #319/922 - A very good album.
Definitely Maybe - 3.41/5 - #486/922 - A pretty good album.

They are definitely not the greatest band on earth, but not the worst either.

Them two brothers being assholes don't bother me too much. I don't read them glossy magazines.

I get your point and with me it's the other way around, I only listened to post-2000 albums and just a handfull of classics. I then found some people here with the same post-2000 taste and listened to the albums in their chart I didn't know about, most of which were a lot older. This site has broden my perspective and I think it does for a lot of people. So instead of chasing them away, we should welcome them and show them "the good music", or whatever you would call it.

You can try to look at music in an objective point of view, but in the end it varies from person to person.
