Listening to Stockhausen's Gesang der Junglinge/Kontakte right now. I don't think I've heard anything creepier than the way Stockhausen manipulates a boy soprano's voice in the first piece. It's like he's calling forth the ghosts of children lost in WWII.

I remember receiving it from my parents for my 15th birthday . I don't think they had any clue with the title and cover as to what I was listening to. they probably thought I was a 'nice' lad into his jazz and funk 😄

Listening to it right now. It is a droning industrial album. Really cool for subverting my expectations and can see the relation considering a lot of electronic albums have influences in jazz and funk. And yes this is some eerie stuff right here.

Most Throbbing Gristle albums. Used to own half a dozen on vinyl and thought about re-purchasing a couple, but feel uncomfortable about it! If I was to re-invest , would probably go for 20 Jazz Funk Greats, the most accessible album in my view.

I know you've already heard it, but the tracks toward the end of Orblivion are some of the creepiest darkest weirdest scariest tracks ever. that's exactly what I like about them!! Heh heh

I do dabble in Vaporwave. And I can understand if you aren't crazy on the genre. Hell like all types of music, you will find something you like but you have to go through lots of boring stuff before you get to the good stuff.

Replica's leagues better. I'd work through his stuff as OPN before you bother with Eccojams, which is influential in its own way but pretty bland unless you're a big vaporwave head already, maybe (I've never understood the appeal of the genre).

I agree there's nothing creepy about the knife
But I can understand describing Zeit possibly as creepy. Although not so much creepy as maybe spooky/scary.
