You are exactly the type of person that John Lennon would gravitate towards. Humble and real.

It's hard to believe that but it feels so damn good to read it.

John Lennon is my role model, not because I want to be just like him, but because he stood for what he believed in, he was honest even if it wasnt convenient sometimes and we was never an hypocrite.
Also, as you said, he was amazingly humble, he never felt he was something more that the other people, for christsake's he even said that the beatles were an average band..
He was genuine. Thats hard to find today. Thats hard to be today, and ill try my hardest till I die 😁

I agree with you. But IMO his best quality was his humility he found after he was a Beatle.

He was a very rare person as far as superstars go.

he stood for peace and love and freedom and truly believed in these things. Today people use these "words" but do not emulate nor stand firmly for these qualities.

In fact, IMO, the world has LESS peace, LESS freedom, and LESS love than when Lennon was alive and encouraged such things. Today the things that Lennon stood for are just a joke and the hippies of that day are mocked as if they were fools. Sad really to have lived to see this change take place in society.

You are exactly the type of person that John Lennon would gravitate towards. Humble and real.

Unlike in today's world, where a "star" travels with their "posse" and ride around in a lemo and hanging out at the clubs every night saying "look at me everybody, I'm a star"

Lennon spent most of the last years of his life taking care of his family living in New York city. Where he would walk down the street and talk to anybody and sign autographs and tell people "I'm just a man like anybody else who was in a band that got lucky and made it big"

One should not consider having wit as having intelligence. They are two separate things. John Lennon happened to have both in abundance.

But the greatest virtue of all IMO is wisdom.

And John Lennon was one of the wisest people to ever live.

In short: I do know I'm clever. I don't think it's possible to be classless nowadays and I'm not sure if freedom is reachable.

The iconic German born classical composer, Ludwig Van Beethoven, was a drunken mess and social wrench. There are many suspicions to Beethoven’s cause of death but cirrhosis of the liver was definitely a possibility.

Kurt Cobain - I could listen for days if he were willing to talk about what inspired some of my favorite Nirvana songs.

Stiv Bators - I'd love to go to a really fancy restaurant with the Dead Boys -- plus, even though he wouldn't grab the check, he's not going to eat that much anyway, right? I mean look at him...
