I play bass and am fascinated by bass response.

I know there's little respect for Will.I.Am on this site, but Boom Boom Pow has some massive bass response and at really cool frequencies, especially at the middle 8/break down.

There's probably a million interesting bass response things, but that comes to mind, and then:

Electronic bass - the whole album, but especially the first track is some seriously tight bass response:

The Man-Machine by Kraftwerk

Then I've been fascinated with how this album was mixed/recorded/bass response parties:

Brothers by The Black Keys

Lastly, good bass sound is all about the mids in the mix and I think Marcus Miller has some great tone:

Renaissance by Marcus Miller

I'll check the cure live on sub-content, long-time cure fan here : ) I do remember being blown away by subwoofers on their live concerts sometimes.. But ofc it's standard bass guitar most of the times, I'm guessing it won't drop much below the 50Hz mark.. (standard 4-string bass guitar lowest E note is 41Hz it seems)

There most certainly are, although I tend to prefer the more subtle tones of 70s-80s JA dub as my intravenous bass medication of choice.

That said, my favourite bass track, by a long way, is the Leeds Warehouse mix of LFO-LFO. Designed to make bones at illegal raves reverberate since 1990.

I added a decent subwoofer to my system a few months ago. (yamaha HS8S)
It's great to rediscover your music with this added depth..

What are the tracks that make best use of sub bass frequency range?

Some examples:
James Blake - Limit to Your Love (a whole different song from the one you know from the radio 😁 )
Amon Tobin - Four Ton Mantis
Flying Lotus - Dead Man's Tetris(feat. Snoop Dogg & Captain Murphy) (almost too much bass! almost..)
Half Moon Run - I can't figure out what's going on (not extremely low, but great use of those lower regions)
Kendrick Lamar - Wesley's Theory
Swet Shop Boys - Zayn Malik (Indian-Pakistani rap)
Janelle Monae - Primetime (feat. Miguel) (sub bass reverb on the kick.. awesome)
Jamie XX - Gosh
Beck - Morning
Commix - Be True (deep 'reese' bass)
Octane/DLR/Script - Set Up the Set (wall-destroying bass! don't play all too loud 🧱 )
Noisia - Dead Limit
Burial - Archangel (..and a whole lot of dubstep and dnb tracks, but not all do it as well as these..)
