First song off the top of my head. A lot of them turned out to be old standards. A few of them, I cheated a little bit on. Not counting the cheats, I got 19. I'm a bit disappointed I couldn't think of any for Louisiana or Florida.

Full disclosure, on some of them, I looked up the artist.

Sweet Home Alabama -- Lynyrd Skynyrd
North to Alaska -- Johnny Horton
Arizona -- Mark Lindsay[2]
Arkansaw Traveller -- Len Spencer
California Nights - Lesley Gore
*(Colorado) Rocky Mountain High -- John Denver
The Delaware Song (What did Della Wear?) -- Perry Como
Georgia on My Mind -- Ray Charles
Hawaii 5-0 -- The Ventures
Indiana Wants Me -- R. Dean Taylor
My Old Kentucky Home -- Stephen Foster
University of Maine (the Stein Song) -- Rudy Vallee
The Lights All Went Down in Massachusetts -- Bee Gees
*Black Water (Mississippi Moon) -- The Doobie Brothers
*You And I (My Cool Nebraska Guy) -- Lady Gaga
New York New York -- Frank Sinatra
The Banks of the Ohio -- Olivia Newton-John
Oklahoma (Where the Wind Comes Sweeping Down the Plains) -- Rogers & Hammerstein
Pennsylvania 6-500 -- Glenn Miller
Poor Little Rhode Island -- Guy Lombardo
*Rocky Top, Tennessee -- Lynne Anderson
All My Exes Live in Texas -- George Strait
Carry Me Back to Old Virginny -- Frankie Laine
*Take Me Home Country Roads (West Virginia) -- John Denver

Bonus: Best rhyme ever in a broadway musical:
Mr. Adams, dear Mr. Adams,
I cannot write with any style or proper etiquette.
I do not know a participle from a predicate.
I am just a simple cobbler from Connecticut.
-- 1776

* I know the state name isn't in the title, but it should be. It's not my fault John Denver didn't put the names of the state in his state songs.
[2] Often include in the Paul Revere & the Raiders oeuvre, this was a Lindsay solo record.

The thread with favorite artist by state was pretty hard, but I bet this is harder.

Alabama Song ....The Doors
Arizona... Paul Revere and the Raiders
California Dreamin ...Mamas & the Papas
Rainy Night in Georgia... Tony Joe White
Hawaii Five-0.... The Ventures
Private Idaho...The B-52's
Indiana Wants Me .....R. Dean Taylor
Kansas City ....Fats Domino
Kentucky Rain ..Elvis Presley
Massachusetts ....Bee Gees
Miss the Mississippi... Crystal Gayle
New York Tendaberry ..Laura Nyro
Ohio...CSNY
Oklahoma.. Rodgers and Hammerstein
Pennsylvania Polka.... I don't know who did it
Tennessee Waltz... Emmylou Harris

That's as far as I could get WITHOUT CHEATING by looking it up. It's harder than I thought. I thought I'd get about half the states, but I didn't even come close.
