Okay, so take this one with a grain of salt. Back in the day, I proudly wore my "Disco Sucks" T-shirt to school. Hated the genre. Saw it as having no musical merit, indeed not redeeming qualities whatsoever.

However, over the years, my views have softened and I have come to dig me some disco. Ironic that I like some when it's now ridiculed by most everyone else! Anyway, here's my faves:

Rubberband Man - Spinners
TSOP ( The Sound of Philadelphia) MFSB
I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor
Disco Inferno. The Trammps
I'm So Excited - Pointer Sisters
Never Can Say Goodbye. Gloria Gaynor
Last Dance - Donna Summer
Turn The Beat Around - Vicki Sue Robinson
Don't Leave Me This Way - Thelma Houston
Knock On Wood- Amii Stewart

Love Hangover - Diana Ross
Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel - Tavares
We Are Family - Sister Sledge
Celebration - Kool & the Gang
It Only Takes A Minute - Tavares
I'm Every Woman. Chaka Khan
It's Raining Men - Weather Girls
The Hustle - Van McCoy
I Love The Night Life-(Disco 'Round) - Alicia Bridges
Ladies Night - Kool & the Gang

I was a little too young during the Disco craze, but when I was in my twenties I started liking a lot of it and listening to a lot of it. The best of it is just excellent. And a lot of artists actually did their best stuff in the Disco genre. Like Marvin Gaye Michael Jackson and a shitload of others.

Ditto
I always liked the disco songs I heard but I got into it bigtime in my 20s in the '90s.

Here's my selection:

Barry White - You're the First, The Last, My Everything
Donna Summer - Love to Love You Baby
Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive
You Should Be Dancing
Night Fever
Jive Talkin'
More Than A Woman
Sylvester - You Make Me Feel Mighty Real
Dan Hartman - Instant Replay/Relight My Fire
Boney M - Rasputin!!!!
KC & Sunshine Band - Thats The Way I Like It
Anita Ward - Ring My Bell
Andrea True Connection - More More More
Diana Ross - Upside Down
Michael Jackson - Rock With You
George McCrae - Rock Your Baby
Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting
Edwin Starr - Contact!!!!!!
Joe Tex - Ain't Gonna Bump No More (With No Big Fat Woman) (classic)
Abba - Voulez-Vous/Summer Night City/Lay All Your Love on Me/
Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight) (sampled in Madonna's Hung Up, another great disco song)
Shirley & Co - Shame Shame Shame (loved wot they did with it in the UK film Pride - Dominic West disco dancing with no shame...brilliant)

Plus all the ones you two guys mentioned

Disco rules!!!!
I have always loved it

Must say Knock on Wood by Amii Stewart is one of the all time great disco songs, I agree
