BEA users found their ideal synthesis of artistic standards with CryinGameDahlin's "100 Greatest Music Albums" chart, which straddled the border between Magnet-ian, Pitchfork-ian and AfterHours-ian (or was it Scaruff-ian?) critical standards, with a noted lack of Beethoven-ian, Bach-ian or Mozart-ian selections to contrast its already varied repertoire. The cognitive dissonance of this alone was enough to catapult the chart into one of the milestone listings of the BEA era, a thrilling post-modern-sub-human experiment that doused the minds of BEA users into unveiling their savage, primordial instincts, and their praise and discussion that followed (which could be likened to a psychoanalytic session) provided a relief from the embarrassment of scrolling through charts of smiling "Aryan" teen pop idols.

"No albums in common" it says.

Having said that I know a lot of the artists, but chosen myself different albums by that artist. (e.g I wouldn't have put Dry as my favourite PJ Harvey album)

There's a great balance to the chart - both time-wise and genre-wise. And it gives me confidence that a lot of the albums I've not listened to might be worth playing...

I'm off to listen to Dry again, and to try out something by Erika Michelle Anderson.

The Fact that so many users still name CGD's chart as the greatest or most influential chart only tells you how much this chart is far away from normal (non-abstract_ levels of understanding. To be fair, you have to have a pretty high IQ to understand this chart, the inside jokes are really subtle, and without a grasp of theoretical BEA aknowledge most of the choices will go over the normal visitor's head, it is something otherworldly.

And by the way I DO have a CGD Tattoo, and no you can not see it, it is for the ladies' eyes only u.u
