It's weird, cause I think our current choice won't be anyone else's. I'm thinking Bon Iver's album or Let England Shake will top most of the lists.

I've heard good things about St. Vincents new album though, so that might be a contender 😄

That is correct, thanks for noticing the qualifier there. In particular i prefer pretty much all those albums Hayden listed over anything from 90'. Same goes for 94' except for a few standouts.

90' is probably a good contender for worst ever 🫢 94 was an ok year though, and much better than the current one.

Ok, I try not to insult people on this site, or cause arguement, but you're totally wrong about that 😕 2011 (a year that I've tried very hard to like, and am still currently trying) has been horrible.

Destroyer - Kaputt (4.5/5)
Middle Brother - Middle Brother (4.5/5)
Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues (4/5)
PJ Harvey - Let England Shake (4/5)
Bon Iver - Bon Iver, Bon Iver (4/5)

and most of the year has just been average (3.5/5) - Yuck, In The Grace Of Your Love, Watch The Throne, Kiss Eachother Clean, w h o k i l l, Tomboy, Space Is Only Noise, (i could go on, this pretty much just includes most of our top thirty)

And, disappointments (3 or below):

Radiohead - King Of Limbs (3/5)
Strokes - Angels (3/5)
James Blake - James Blake (3/5)
Kurt Vile - Smoke Ring For My Halo (3/5)
Decemberists - King Is Dead (2.5/5)
Foster The People - Torches (3/5)
Girls - Father, Son, Holy Ghost - (3/5)
Death Cab - COdes & Keys (2.5/5)
etc...I could go on, but i'm probably boring you.

The only reason I'm putting off Strange Mercy is the hop it'll be album of the year 🙏

Also, Hip-Hop has been USELESS this year 🧱

Ya, 2011 has been pretty bad 😕 But if you're just looking at our BEA chart, we are missing a few big ones in our top 50.

and I haven't heard the cunninglinguistics album, but I've heard it's ok.
