Voted Wanderwelle. 4 albums in (I'm doing them in order) and that's the first one I feel I need to update my 2017 chart for. Not that they won't all make it, because my 2017 chart is very small and everything has been listenable, but that one in particular is definitely top 10 worthy, at least out of what I've heard so far.

Enjoyed both for sure, but Wanderwelle wins hands down in my eyes. 'Utopia' was a really confident album, but it never really caught me off guard or did anything outside of what I was expecting it to. Lots of songs great for vibing to, but as a piece of 'art' I think it falls short.

Nah, I thought this but turns out Frank Ocean is great. 'Solo' is best song.

I liked Utopia too, but it didn't take me quite as high as Lost in a Sea of Trees, on the feelin'-it-ometer.

I enjoyed this matchup quite a bit more than #1.

This is another tough choice. I really enjoyed both these records, both are extremely underrated, and both will make it into my 2017 chart. The highs are higher on Utopia, but it is also more uneven in quality. Lost In A Sea Of Trees is a more immersive listening experience. I'm thinking about how my music taste has changed over the years as I've explored new genres. A year or two ago, I easily would have preferred Utopia. But today, Lost In A Sea Of Trees gets the slight edge.

Like Frank Ocean more. Love Endless. While I do think James Blake is really good/great, never crazy of him.

I could agree. To me, this album felt it had more influence with Disclosure.

I have no problem with alternative R&B. The Darius album felt like a middle ground between James Blake style production and the emotional weight of a Frank Ocean record. I just liked the """electronic textures and soundscapes""" more.

Is is just the smoothness? I kinda find it surprising that people don't like that quality. Oh well.

For a recommendation I say try Moonbuilding 2703 Ad by The Orb if you haven't heard it. Similar in design but I'd argue better.

Ye. The water levels had the best music in those games, too. I got a lot of similar vibes on this Wanderwelle album and I think I can't stop listening to it.
