Considering the hall is headed by the head of rolling stone magazine Jann Wenner and they love The SMits you'd think they would be trying to get them in.

I would put Donna in but also Heart for they are just as deserving. I would put both of them in but not GNR.

If were going to consider influence then we must consider Heart.

Are you kidding me, Heart was a female (Ann and Nancy Wilson) led band who wrote lyrics, did lead vocals, backing vocals, and both played acoustic guitar and Nancy also played electric rhythm and sometimes lead.

And were talking back in 1975 when they started recording songs that ranged from folk to hard rock.

Influence, PALLLEAZZZ, how many females did Ann and Nancy Wilson inspire to sing and play hard rock on guitars. And males for that matter. This is also why I would induct Joan Jett also for she was a founding member of The Runaways who were a female band who played hard rock and started recording the same time that Heart did.

The Rock hall has been pissing me off with their choices the last few years. Of that list, The Cure is the most qualified. The Small Faces should probably be considered too only because they're an overlooked band. Does anyone know why The Smiths still have never been considered? I mean, talk about an incredibly important band! They are way more important than say, Joan Jett or Donna Summer, or Donovan or War. I'm surprised The Cure are being considered. Aside from R.E.M., alternative music has been given short shrift so far from the Rock Hall, and the institution is in danger of becoming as irrelevant as the Grammy's.

That said, I'll give them props for putting Tom Waits in last year.
