Turn of the Bright Lights by Interpol (their follow-up, Evil, is also really good)

Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire

Era Vulgaris by Queens of the Stone Age

Elephant by The White Stripes

Sam's Town, Sawdust, and Day & Age by The Killers

Based on some of the stuff in your overall chart (Flaming Lips, the clash, yes) these might be worth a punt.
They are both almost entirely unknown.

Not a big fan of Astral Weeks. Only heard it once a year or two ago so maybe my opinion could change. Also not a big fan of Bob Dylan even though he appears on my chart a few times. I need to listen to that Miles Davis so thank you for reminding me. And yes, Jeff Beck group were very solid. I actually own that record, must've just slipped my mind. Thanks!

After Bathing At Baxter's by Jefferson Airplane

Airplane's best album IMO. After the success of Surrealistic Pillow, they had the freedom to make the album they wanted to make. One of the more adventurous psychedelic albums.

Truth by The Jeff Beck Group

Many believe this was the blueprint for Led Zeppelin. Not as heavy, but seminal hard rock. Beck, Rod Stewart, Ron Wood (on bass), Nicky Hopkins: can't go wrong.

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis

The earliest famous jazz-rock album (not counting Hot Rats). Unique atmospheric electric jazz on the first side, things heat up on the second.

Midnight Blue by Kenny Burrell

Aptly-named soul-jazz album with a great late-night mood.

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin

Back in 2016 I basically listened to the top 100 from every decade, and then another 100-150 from the top 500 that "I'd heard of" but hadn't heard. Honestly the best thing is just listed to a shit load from each decade. While I don't 100% agree with BEA's top lists, it's like having 20k people recommend you an album.

For 2000's I would throw in some electronic albums.
Artists like Boards of Canada, Ulrich Schnauss and Autechre are recommendations.
Also Sweet Trip's Velocity Design Comfort is a must.

Now for the 60's. Maybe Terry Riley or Janis Joplin.
