My choice – Julia Holter.
I Shall Love 2 (“the main favorite of the tournament”) turned out to be one of the last announced tracks. 🤔

On the album Amen Dunes – Freedom (2018) I would highlight the track – Calling Paul the Suffering.

Voted for Julia Holter. Definitely one of the best of the year. She's even better live if you ever have a chance.

The cheesy retro baggy Blue Rose is still better than anything on De-Loused though 🤣

Not mad on either, but the Julia Holter track doesn't sound like a post-lottery-winning Stuart Staples of the Tindersticks presiding over some tepid 90s U2-cum-New-Orderish cast-off, so voted for that.
