Can't switch it out as it's already been used, but if anybody wants to make a last second switch for a song that hasn't gone up yet Ill go ahead and allow it (once per person), mainly cuz I've already made some situational exceptions. May seem a bit like cheating but I'm all for people putting their most passionate choices in each match.

while isolation was an inconsistent album it proved Kali's growth and depth -- i love lykke li but i just gotta give it to the funky tyrant

I agree with you, Isolation was one of my most listened 2018 albums, and it has many highlights so it's hard to pick just one. I'd have probably chosen Miami but Tyrant is also a banger. Deep End was really cool but it is Kali for me. Great match!

Completely agree! I thought I had to pick an official single and this was the one I saw on discogs. I think this tourney should represent the very best tracks from these artists and shouldn't be handicapped by me just being a blockhead. lol.

A close call but I voted for Deep End...probably because of this which gave me a greater appreciation for the song itself.

Yeah the great thing about Kali Uchis's album is you could create a wheel of all it's songs, blindfold some random participant and have them throw a dart and it would still land on a great tune. Tyrant wouldn't even be among my first four selections from Isolation (surprised didn't pick Just a Stranger), but still an excellent banger. Deep End is fine but reminds me more of other producers rather than Lykki Li just branching out.

Tyrant gets my vote. I'm still struggling to define Kali Uchis... clearly she's pop, but she has such confidence with a precise mishmush of genres it feels like she's whipped up an entirely new style of cuisine.

I went with Deep End. I liked Kali Uchis' album better, but Tyrant wasn't particularly favorite track of mine.

I Love Lykke Li. And this track is great. Damn u Revolver!!! 😕

In full disclosure, I'm more of an album person and Kali's Isolation is one of the best last year. Easy. Definitely better than so sad so sexy by Lykke Li. BUT Tyrant is just one of many great tracks on Isolation. There's not a clunker on the entire thing. I chose Tyrant only because it was the first single released.

In other words, damn u Revolver! lol. I just might have to vote for Deep End here. Both are great. I love how uplifting Deep End feels. My kids will love it.

edit: After repeat listens, I think Tyrant holds up better. Whew! lol
