Glad to hear people like the song 😁 Will work on the 'scene' a bit more. Might be able to have time to actually record it...But, for now, that's just a distant hope 😐

Well, tweek the sound, reverb, distortion, or other effects if you must but keep the scene in.

I love that kind of stuff and it makes an album more interesting IMO.

I see what people mean by saying the scene might be necessary.

I think its mostly the scream and the walking that sound cheesy

It might sound neat if you to keep the effects, but drown the in reverb, distortion or other effects to obscure what they actually sound like. Of course there is a good chance this would sound horrible.

If you do get rid of it you could replace it with some big washes of ambient noise and stuff to keep things interesting.

You could try if your capable of making random recordings of stuff (say just recording the sounds coming on the street, cars going by, people walking, talking ect. ie. random field recordings) and throwing that over that part of the song

whatever you do I'm sure it will turn out really good though 😁

First off, no, it will not be a concept album (i'd get killer marks for that though, but it's just not what I intend to make 🫢 Sorry). I think it'll be called "1942" (MXMCII) (i think that's right...I'll double check). And thanks 😁 Do you think a 'BIGGER' ending is needed? Or keep it as it is?

Same thing I said to Jhereko about the scene. But even if I got rid of it, what should I put there?

And I take the 'big-ending' into consideration. I'll do a few test-runs and trials, but I won't be able to until my next studio session (which might be as early as Wednesday...if I can get this essay I'm doing/starting done 😐 )

I do have 'Interludes' in the album (2) that are really just conversations that happened to be recorded while in the session, but they're kinda fun 🤣 I play sax in both of them for a bit. I'll put those up soon, cause they're done.

I love the atmosphere too 😁 I found it really dark, which was what I was going for. That was probably the part I was most proud about making.

The 'scene' was a topic I wanted to cover, and whether to have it or not. It DOES sound cheep, I noticed that. But I need something interesting in there...and can't think of what 🤔 (an_outlaw, or Jhereko, if you wanted to do your/a guitar solo here maybe? 😨 )

You could be right Yourselfisntsteam. But I beg 2 differ with you.

The atmosphere is very important in the song and is a time piece and "the scene" is needed and 2 be honest doesn't sound all that bad 2 me.

Note: Drums were made on a drum machine, and are mine. The beginning piano isn't mine, but I have permission. All external sort of 'vinyl' or explosion sounds are from garageband, along with the little scene in the middle (put together by me though). Sax is mine of course.

I listened 2 1944 once but will listen again before I might comment on it.

Right now I would just like 2 inform you that 1944 was NOT "the middle of WWII"

You may want 2 call it 1942, which actually was 🤔

This is TECHNICALLY a rough draft. The song title is roman numerals for '1944', hence middle of the second world war.

The actual 'shoegaze' element is very low. I'm sorry about that. It's more Industrial-jazz. Tell me what you guys think, and because I want as much criticism as possible before handing this in.
