The pairing of the 1973 Pink Floyd music album The Dark Side of the Moon with the visual portion of the film produces moments where they appear to correspond with each other in a music video-like experience. This juxtaposition has been called Dark Side of the Rainbow. 🙄 😨

I'm a sucker for musicals. Wizard of Oz, Rocky Horror, Parapluies de Cherbourg, Hedwig's Angry Inch, Devdas... I lovem...
But as you point out, the songs in a musical interact with the storyline, the action, the way the characters move and talk (squishypuffdave could probably explain better), and I couldn't love the Wizard of Oz without the music.
Whereas we're voting for soundtracks and scores which in my idea are there to support or highlight certain features of a movie.
I understand the songs from a musical are considered part of their soundtrack, but I don't like the idea of comparing a "musical" to a "film with music".

haha I'm sorry to hate on your fav's, cool if you like either of those movies, I would rather watch transpotting than Wizard of Oz, but this is a soundtrack tourney. Somewhere Over the Rainbow alone is a more significant than anything Trainspotting had in it soundtrack wise.

The Wizard of Oz, by far. Trainspotting has a "cool" soundtrack, its a "cool" movie. I hate it.
