I'm working all day today. Will check through messages when I get off and provide you with any other lists. Sorry for abandoning you guys. If I could for now only provide a brief glimpse as to why, just know that I'll be spending Christmas all alone. That obviously doesn't tell the whole story since I've been absent for months but with new chapters being written every day, sometimes twice a day, I don't think i've got it in me to sit here typing it all out for two days straight. Nobody would want to read that much anyway. Happy holidays everyone.

Oh gee. To tell ya the truth, the job has been kicking my ass for the past month. I'm afraid I don't have time to do a list right now. I suppose it would be tidy in some abstract way to have the list posted on Halloween, but I really prefer that our Hallow's Eve (aka Halloween evening) viewings be allowed on our lists. I can't imagine what would disappoint online friends here who know you primarily through the lens of movies and music, but you've contributed as much if not more to the film subforum this year as anyone else, so you've got a surplus of goodwill in the bank. I definitely have my own issues I find very difficult to talk about in real life. Hope you feel comfortable enough to share in some thread. And I hope you're doing at least a little bit better. Take your time tallying the list.

Appropriately, my copy of The Devil Rides Out (US release date, 10/27) arrived today and I just finished watching it a half-hour ago. Enjoyed it very much and it'll definitely make my list.

Did the majority of my viewing by early August, but last week, I took a second look at a list that recharged my drive to watch more horror and saw 6 more (could keep going too, but everything has to come to an end sometime). Have watched 61 movies for this poll since April (and a lot of others too of course).

I literally just opened up about something but then erased it all, partly out of shame and partly because if I'm gonna give the whole story I need to do it on its own post instead of here. With that said, I don't remember for sure but I think we've reached the deadline. However I'm not at all ready. I'm gonna extend the deadline through tonight. If anyone happens to be doing any last minute watching this will give them a chance to add those films. Hopefully around midnight I can confidently get started. I apologize if anyone was looking forward to the list today. It's honestly been so far off my mind it just came to me. Believe me, it's far from the only thing I've neglected as of late. Thanks for understanding; or at least your patience. Perhaps the understanding will come when I talk about what I've been going through. Maybe a little disappointment too but if others can learn from my mistake through my testimony it can prevent them from going down the same path. Really it's none of anyones business but this is something I've found very difficult to discuss in real life so this may have to be my outlet. Love you guys. See you soon.
