Seriously though, The Underdog is Spoon's most pop song by far so I can sort of see how it's doing so bad against much edgier opposition. yeah. My kid brother only really listened to Billy Joel and that Ewok song from Star Wars so... 🤡 🤡 🧱

But, otherwise, I really LOVE Spoon actually. Just not that song. Plus Women simply rips.

No I have very fond memories of "The Underdog", it's what got me into Spoon and a great little cheer-up anthem that's pretty timeless, and I think I should definitely give the shout-outs to Austin now that Keithy Boy is too cool for this school... but again, ouch ouch ouch, toughest competition it could've asked for. Women is exactly the kind of band that not enough people know but once they do it's a love affair for life. Exactly the kind of 100-seam-woven, unpredictable jam that never gets old. Tough match

Never been a big fan of Spoon even if I like some of their songs, including The Underdog. Went with Women though because I found it a lot more exciting.

Hey I actually like The Underdog! Even if it's not the best off that Spoon album (which as far as I remember, I really enjoyed). But between Shaking Hand and Eyesore, Women might have two of my favourite songs from the last two decades. Like, some of the most interesting guitar music since the turn of the century

The Underdog is a fine pop song, but it's not anything like Spoon's other work. Anything off of "Girls Can Tell" would have been my pick.

Plus Women are great.

I've never knowingly listened to Spoon, but I wasn't expecting a drunken Zutons pastiche. Women, by a lot.

Yeah that Women track is really great tbh so I wouldn't mind seeing it go through.

Spoon have tougher sounding songs than the underdog but it's honestly my favourite. One of the most joyous and uplifting songs I've ever heard. Jon Brion's production is amazing and the horns just sound fantastic. I'd really take Spoon over any naughts indie band and this must be their most complete, accessible and enduring song.

Actually those glitches are annoying AF. The only technical issue that I'm aware of with this one is that you have to look at s picture of Zack Effron whilst you hear the tune.
