As much as I want CanOx to move on, Arcade Fire was up 14 to 13 since this morning, so it should win. I don't know when the extra vote came in , but it was too late.

Yeah Wake-Up works really well as a live track but as a studio number it's less essential than other AF songs. Went with Cannibal Ox, even if I admit I've been slow to catch up with The Cold Vein

Yeah I'm actually going with Iron Galaxy.
I love Arcade Fire, and I reaffirmed my love for Funeral a couple of weeks ago, after first listening to The Suburbs again (which sort of holds up, but it's overall "just" a solid album). But Wake Up was always one of those songs I wasn't so sure about. Like it wants to be too ~epic~ for its own good. Well performed, solid track otherwise, and there were times where it worked better for me (at least in the context of an album), but right now that's not the case. Almost every other track on Funeral would win this match tho...

Both are excellent but I'm voting Ox since he's a bit of an underdog, and Wake Up is not a top 5 Arcade Fire tracks for me.

Wake Up is one of the only tracks ever written that combines nearly all musical elements I care about in one track and does so gloriously.

Gritty guitars
Motown bass
A freaking harp
I cry man tears
Euphoria
Explosive vocals
A solid rhythm
A surprise or 4
Ok there's more but whatevs it's for me anyway.

The Cannibal Ox one. Not too sure the song exactly works for me but it's interesting. Wake up has always felt a bit over-inflated to me. But I really have to be in the mood for Arcade Fire anyway.
