Kinky Friedman once referred to Garth Brooks as the Anti-Hank.

I fully agree with that statement.

I recently discovered this youtube video:

Link

In which the top selling bands and artists appear. Apart from feeling quite sad on the top selling artists of the XXI century compared to the top selling bands and artists of the XX century, I was surprised to find a name I had never heard or read before: Garth Brooks.

Aparently, he is the best selling solo albums artists in the US. So I guess he is so well known in the US as unknown in Europe. Is this right? What is your opinion on him?
