I don't really know why but I can't really get into Mum and into this song while I liked the Gil Scott-Heron track.

As much as I really love Gil Scott, I just don't find this among his finest work. Does it beat a pretty by-the-numbers indie pop song? Probably. I did enjoy the Mum song, though.

Nice track by Mum. It distinctly remember the first time I heard "Me and the Devil" after years of not listening to anything new Scott-Heron though. The shock, the gravity. The timelessness. The wisdom and the foolishness. Vote for my nomination.

Sweet Impressions is a nice song, but yes this was an easy vote for an absolute legend.

Gil Scott-Heron, and a good reminder, that I need to listen to that album (and Gil in general).
From memory, I liked Smilewound more than most when it came out, but not sure I really like this particular track and its, uhm, take on November Rain? It's pretty far from their best efforts from early 00s anyway.

Sweet Jesus how am I supposed to choose between these two? And it's the fricking first play-off round. I'll wait for now, but might go with mum since Me And The Devil is something like my 3rd favourite off of I'm New Here (the title track is my jam), and Sweet Impressions is probably the best one from Smilewound.
