While I think UnknowwhatImsayin was far from a masterpiece and occassionally played into some of his... lesser... qualities, I still liked the moderatly playful, funky vibe overall and the (briefer) spurts of brilliant inspiration, probably the kind of album you'd expect Danny to make after Atrocity Exhibition even if it indeed pales in comparison to that beautiful freak of a record. Juneunit was nice and listenable for it's lengthy runtime, even if I think there were far more intriguing albums of a similar sound released in 2019. So, the slight edge to Danny this time.

For some reason I've heard uknowhatimsayin for the first time just now. It's not as experimental and out there as XXX or Atrocity Exhibition, but it's his catchiest to date. I loved it, and it gets my vote here, as well as a place in the top 50 of the year.

For me it was about the tunes. I felt like this was Danny's most tuneful record released. First two tracks really "sing" and the rest does too - featured artists are also really musical/unique voices. Musically, to me, Danny's most interesting, even if some of the earlier records were too. This one immediately connected.

I love Danny, but to me this was a pretty hard comedown from Old/Atrocity Exhibition. The beats are nice, but not nearly as interesting as the previous batches. The lyrics are less raw and reflective and instead we get more sex raps (but not exactly more entertaining ones). Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoyed the album. But less than half is made up of what I'd consider truly great material, and it's backloaded. Juneunit has picked off my vote here.

Was more curious than anything on why Spotify didn't match, but their database is sometimes a joke too.
