Light My Fire and The End are good, but the others may be among the worst. You're right about I Looked At You too, it IS the worst.

Looks like Eggman/Walrus/Taxman still has less replies and views on his chart of the day.

Looking at this chart, and the songs selected, I can't help but think that the selections were made on the basis of what is "supposed" to be picked and not personal preference. I'm probably wrong, and I apologise to RFNaples if I am.

Apology accepted. 😉

I have always loved the concept - a psychedelic cover of a tune from a Brecht theater.

Start rant. After 30 odd years of Light my fire enough is enough. Worst track on the album by far. The only thing 95% of the people on this planet know about the Doors is that bloody song. So many great songs on the album and all you hear on the radio is the cliche. Rant over.

I've never met a fan of The Doors who would rank Light My Fire above The End. People who rank Light My Fire as their greatest song are often people who are not much into the band, but I suppose you are, as you have their debut at the #28 spot (this is just an observation).

I agree.

Great call Mind Movie '

I might add Riders On The Storm also.

Riders on the Storm is from L.A. Woman which is not on my chart. Nevertheless, I would rank it above The End but bellow Light My Fire.

The end is great but it dosen't have that awesome organ and guitar interplay in the middle that Light My Fire does.

24 Best Tracks from the Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RFNAPLES (2012)

Anybody else feel like they could have predicted much of this list?

Oh, and incidentally, it doesn't have a single track from Revolver, RFNAPLES' (supposedly) fave album!

The greatness of an album is not merely the sum of its tracks. How much correlation should there be between the best tracks and the greatest albums? I don't find my lists incongruent.

I see........I was just saying.......because I thought that Revolver has a great track (read: Tomorrow Never Knows) which could have easily made your list.......it's my fave song, by the way. Oh, and did you see my Top 15 Songs list in the top 15 song thread?

One question: What is your opinion of Natty Dread, my fave Bob Marley album, and the album which apparently has your fave Bob Marley song?
