Although ATLiens is my personal favorite album from Outkast, Aquemini comes a close 2nd. And no it's not overrated in the slightest.

Skew It on the Bar-B is pretty good though.
This really should be on my main chart.

🤣

Good timing indeed.

And yes, Skew It on the Bar-B is possibly one of the best hip-hop tracks... ever?

Not on this album, but Slick Rick's verse on the single version of 'Da Art of Storytellin'' is incredible. Probably came out of the same sessions as Rick and Big Boi's 'Street Talkin''.

Overrated, or maybe just don't enjoy it as much as their other classics. But haven't listened to it for a minute....

Spottieottiedopaliscious is indeed one of the best hip hop songs ever written. In related news, Andre's verse on the title track is some of the best rapping I've ever heard. The way he cuts through the beat and his flow still remains so steady and smooth... Damn. Not to mention the lines.

Twice upon a time, there was a boy who died
Lived happily ever after, but that's another chapter
Live from home of the brave with dirty dollars
And beauty parlors and baby ballers
And bowling ball Impalas and street scholars
Majoring in culinary arts, you know, how to work bread,
Cheese, and dough from scratch, but see the catch is you can get caught
Know what ya selling, what you bought so cut that big talk
Let's walk to the bridge, meet me halfway
Now you may see some children dead off in the pathway
It's them poor babies walkin' slowly to the candy lady
It's lookin' bad, need some hope like the words 'maybe'
'if', or 'probably', more than a hobby
When my turntables get wobbly, they don't fall

Da Art Of Storytellin' is another lyrical standout, as is Skew It On The Bar-B. The album could've been shorter though.

I remember wandering into Theo Parrish's set at Sunfall in Brockwell Park and hearing the horns from 'Spottieottiedopaliscious' blare out, whilst high as shit on E, and realising it was maybe the greatest song ever made. I mean, the whole album is magical.
