I think Roundthebend's list pretty much rounds out the "essentials" as far as pre-1900 classical music goes.

For the 20th century, I would add All-Night Vigil by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Einstein on the Beach by Philip Glass.

For something very recent but still classical:

Classical pieces and arrangements exclusively by women, including medieval polymath Hildegard von Bingen and modern composer Hildur Guðnadóttir (who composed the soundtrack to 2019's Joker film). It's not all choral, but much of it is.

at this point im open minded thats why i didnt specify what im looking for , except for a choral part. i was hoping to recieve some "must hear" suggestion , that would blow my mind.

Classical
