The Fame has nothing on Thriller.

However, some better pop albums are: Penthouse And Pavement - Heaven 17
Post - Bjork (though stretching the boundaries a bit on pop albums, not sure if you can count stuff like Enjoy and Army Of Me as pop songs)

Weeeeell, if we're gonna digress into all the subgenres of pop and stuff that's poppy enough, then there is a LOT of pop albums better than Thriller, and much too many to list.

The Kinks and Blur aren't quite the same pop, more rock and britpop respectively.

Thriller is more bubblegum-esque territory.

But none of the songs have anything substantial to say, well maybe Billy Jean. I think of pop lyrics like those as sort of jingles. Dance songs are dance songs, not music with integrity, in my opinion of course. Okay, the production was outstanding, but that only contributes a portion of the overall factors that go into rating something, right?

itsit, i wouldnt say that lennon would be scared to play with radiohead, but i am pretty sure that he would love radiohead more than mccartney and not hold back the gushing like paul does.
