In most cases, if you dig far enough, at least in my experience, you can find it. A lot of bands/musicians want to be mysterious and unknown, but they also have a part of themselves that wants to be famous and known. They usually leave at least a breadcrumb or two...

Not had a chance yet to do any research on this yet, but as a general point, artists are only flagged as 'unknown' nationality on BEA if a nationality cannot be established through research. Lots of obscure artists have previously been flagged, but not because of the artist's choice to remain anonymous.

Metal Archives is usually an authority on these questions. They say "It has been rumoured online that Bloodbark is from Russia, but the band chooses to not disclose anything about their location or member(s). " Currently, they don't have a country of origin for the band. https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Bloodbark/3540435773 That being said, I'm fine with Russia if that's enough evidence for you. Thanks for the help!

I tried searching the forums for similar topics, but honestly I'm not good at it and I didn't find an answer.

If country is truly unknown, this can be flagged to prevent system from nagging (some other artists are flagged like this because there is not a lot of info about them).
