But just assuming that the party is much smaller than the other two. What actions must the smaller party do to avoid them using their combined strength to easily overwhelm the smaller and/or get their own way?

Nothing.

The smaller party just has to try to make sure the other two parties are hardly aware he's even involved.

I think I should be more percific with the question. How can a smaller party "manipulate the two parties into a conflict"? The only example given was by Gary which was the Illuminati and if you were to go by Gary's videos they have an enourmous amount of resources.

The two bigger parties could easily divide the smaller amongst themselves. What actual actions can the smaller party take to "play" the other two "against each other"?
