The Sex Pistols is one of the most overrated, most horrible bands I've ever heard. I honestly don't think of them the way I think of Radiohead, where I simply think I just don't "get" Radiohead. I actually think the Sex Pistols are garbage.

I chose the Dead Kennedys because "Holiday in Cambodia" was featured in 1981's Neighbors, my all-time favorite Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi comedy.

Dead Kennedys, no question.
Though the Pistols are good, I have to agree with everyone's assessment that they were pretty much a one-trick pony.
A great trick it was! But Dead Kennedys had style, talent, real attitude, and enough political vitriol to choke an elephant.
Even beyond any meter of how "punk" either band was, when you look at what a talented singer Jello actually is, and how much time that band spent in the studio mastering their songs, the Sex Pistols almost seem like a joke.
