It always brings a smile to my face when the vocalist laughs in the middle of the song.

This version of And Your Bird Can Sing always brightens my day

Or when Michael Stipe just gives such a childish laugh after singing "Dr. Suess" in The Side Winder Sleeps Tonight - it's such an unexpect, unscripted moment that helps remind you that there's a person behind that voice, and it always makes me laugh back. At 2:33.
