Ya - he only found out later that people died/were killed. He remembers the Hells Angels being bad asses and causing a raucous, but nothing more. He was disappointed that the Grateful Dead didn't play, but hey it was a free concert.

I just finished watching "Gimme Shelter" and saw this thread... interesting timing.

Both lineups are out of this world. So much psych music here which I'm absolutely passionate about: Country Joe McDonald, The Incredible String Band, Grateful Dead, Sly & The Family Stone, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe and The Fish, Jimi Hendrix, Gilberto Gil, Family, Procol Harum, Miles Davis, The Doors, Donovan and The Moody Blues among others, probably. Sad that my taste in music is horribly dated, as I would like to have the opportutiny to see so many of my all time favorite acts on a festival poster today.
Both if I could come back in the past. But I think Woodstock is more interesting - in the history of music - than Wight.
